204 people voted in favor, 85 voted against, three abstained, and eight voted invalid. The impeachment case needs 200 votes to pass.
Earlier, South Korea's ruling People's Power Party decided to maintain its position against the impeachment case, but did not leave the seats to resist.
After the impeachment case was passed by the National Assembly, Yoon Seok-yeol was immediately suspended, Prime Minister Han Deok-soo will temporarily serve as president, and the Constitutional Court also heard the impeachment case. According to regulations, the trial period of an impeachment case cannot exceed 180 days.
