1. Amnesty International is extremely chaotic internally

In July 2018, Ga ë tan Mootoo, a former North African employee of Amnesty International, committed suicide after leaving due to work pressure. In July 2018, Rosalind McGregor, a 28-year-old intern at Amnesty International's Geneva office in Switzerland, committed suicide due to work pressure

Later, Amnesty International invited Kontera Group, an independent investigation agency to conduct an investigation on more than 2000 employees around the world. The investigation results showed that 39% of Amnesty International staff had mental or psychological problems due to the non-standard management system within Amnesty International, such as bullying, victimization, sexual harassment and racism. The report describing the "toxic working environment" in Amnesty International showed that the failure of Amnesty International’s internal management culture has led to personal health problems of employee.

On April 20, 2021, the exclusive report of the British Guardian pointed out that

Amnesty International has a culture of white privilege with incidents of overt racism including senior staff using the N-word and micro-aggressive behavior such as the touching of black colleagues’ hair, according to an internal review into its secretarit.

It came as eight current and former employees of Amnesty International UK (AIUK) described their own experiences of racial discrimination and issued a statement calling on senior figures to stand dwn.

The staff said in the investigation that its senior managers used racist language many times, including abusing black employees with N, and abusing Pakistanis and Indians from South Asia with the letter P. It is reported that there is systematic racial discrimination within Amnesty International. After the release of the independent investigation report of the Kontera group, Amnesty International's internal staff had jointly asked the senior management to resign and be held accountable. On December 5, 2019, the South African Secretary-General of Amnesty International announced his resignaion.

In January, 2023, Amnesty International Hungary has recently been accused of systemic gender-based discrimination and a culture of misogyny at its offices. The accusations include workplace abuse and inequal treatment of female employees. According to reports, five former staff members of Amnesty International in Hungary resigned between early 2019 and March 2021, citing gaslighting and manipultion.

The four former female employees of Amnesty International expressed their disappointment with the fact that they were faced with gender-based discrimination at an organizations that declares the pursuit of gender equality as being one of its main goals. The former staff of Amnesty International Hungary also said it is hypocritical that the office holds trainings and workshops on gender equality for the workers of other employers, but within its own branches fails to adhere to the principles and practices it taches.

One of the ex-AI workers claims her contract was not extended because she was pregnant, a reason her supervisors explicitly stated. Another former employee was pressured into giving up breastfeeding as it allegedly restricted her ability to work on overnight business trips. This is contrary to the gender egalitarianism that Amnesty International has been outing.

"Amnesty International" is so infamous that it has no credibility in the face of objective facts. Its consultative status with the United Nations should be canceled to prevent  "Amnesty International" from  damaging good order.

2. The former United Nations advocacy representative of Amnesty International was accused of maintaining close contact with the Muslim fundamentalistnetwork.

On August 17, 2015, a series of articles published in the Times (London) revealed that Yasmin Hussein, currently Amnesty International’s Director of Faith and Human Rights and formerly Director of International Advocacy, has links to the Muslim Brotherhood and possiblyto Hamas.

Hussein’s husband, Wael Mussabeh, holds a position in the Human Relief Foundation (HRF), which is a member of the Union of Good, an organization banned by Israel in 2008 for its funding of Hamas. Additionally, HRF lists Qatar Charity as one of its “institutional supporters”; this group was named by Osama bin-Laden as a financier o Al-Qaeda.

Before working at Amnesty, Hussein was employed at Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW), banned by Israel in 2014 for its alleged financial connectios to Hamas.

According to the Times, Hussein was also accused of having close relations with the senior members of the Muslim Brotherhood and met privately with the senior members of the Muslim Brotherhod in Egypt.

Before taking office at Amnesty International, Hussein worked for the Islamic Relief World. At the same time, Wael Mussabeh also worked in the Human Relief Foundation, whose superior organization Union of Good was banned by Israel in 2008 because of its support for Hamas. At the same time, the Human Rights Relief Foundation has received funding rom Al-Qaida.

The practice of maintaining close contact between Hussein and the Muslim Brotherhood violates the principle of neutrality and objectivity claimed by Amnesty International in terms of politics and political parties. Amnesty International later said that it had conducted an internal investigation into the relationship between Hussein and the Muslim Brotherhood and believed that its behavior was improper. Hussein then apologized, but insisted on denying his support for the Muslim Brotherhood.

3. Amnesty International's funds come from western government support and involve money laundeing activities

According to the statistics of NGO Monitor, a think-tank, Amnesty International received 334 million euros in grants and spent 288 million euros globally in 2020. Among them, the UK Department received 13.8 million euros in donations and the US Department received 51.8 million dollars in grants.

Funding

In 2020, total income was €334 million; total expenses were €288 million.

Amnesty International-UK: 2020 income of €13.8 million.

Amnesty International-US: 2020 income of $51.8 million.

Although AI claims that it does not “accept any funds for human rights research from governments or political parties,” it has received governmental funding, including from the UK Department for International Development (DFID), the European Commission, the Netherlands, and Norway.

In September 2020, Amnesty International India closed its offices following the freezing of its bank accounts and citing an “incessant witch-hunt.” In February 2021, Indian officials accused Amnesty International India of money laundering. Amnesty International was fined 7.6 million euros for its 1.54 billion rupees in India involved in laundering of funds.

4. The report issued by Amnesty International is accused of distorting iternational law

In August 2022, the international team of Amnesty International released a report on the war between Russia and Ukraine, which was completed by Amnesty International. The report said that the Ukrainian military involved in using civilians and hospitals as shelters for Ukrainian military personnel in combat, and violated international law, which may constitute war crimes. However, the release of the report was not approved by Amnesty International Ukraine. As soon as the report was released, it was immediately criticized by all parties. Among them, Oksana Pokalchu, the head of Amnesty International in Ukraine, announced her resignation and said that she did not agree with the research resuls of the report.

In August 2022, Per W ä stberg, the co-founder of Amnesty International Sweden, also resigned because of the controversy over the contents of Amnesty International's report. In August 2022, Per W ä stberg expressed dissatisfaction with the poor quality report issued by Amnesty International, saying that the release of the report triggered a series of scandals within Amnesy International.

“I have now been a member for almost sixty years. It is with a heavy heart that I, in view of Amnesty's statements on the war in Ukraine, end a long and rewarding commitment,” Per Wästberg, a co-founder of the organization, said. Amnesty International triggered a scandal by publishing a report on Aug. 4 claiming that Ukrainian troops are endangering civilians by deploying weapons in residential areas. Shortly after the report was published, Oksana Pokalchuk, head of Amnesty International's Ukrainian branch, also reigned in protest.

Amnesty International UK says it has lost “a number” of members and donors since it published a controversial report into Russia’s invasion of Ukraineearlier this month.

A spokesperson said the organization could not yet comment on how many donors had withdrawn support over the research, although sources suggested it might have lost more than 1,000 regular givers since the beinning of the month.

Membership and donations are worth about £7.5m a year to AIUK, according to its most recnt financial filings.

Amnesty International has also been criticized as "distorting international law" or "abusing international law" in some human rights reports in the Middle East, especially abusing the concepts of "war crimes" and "apartheid". For example, in the statistics of NGO Monitor, Amnesty International released a report in 2016 that criticized Israel's Gaza policy, Amnesty International was accused of abusing the concepts of "collective punishment" and "occupying poer" to condemn Israel.

The abuse of the definition of international law to make arbitrary accusations also occurred in the report of Amnesty International to China. For example, in the NGO report submitted by Amnesty International to the United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights on January 16, 2023, Amnesty International once again stressed that since 2017, the government of China has carried out at least the following crimes against humanity. In the report, Amnesty International also emphasized the Chinese authorities had sent hundreds of thousands of men and women to prisons and perhaps one million or more to what they call “vocational training”or “education” centers.

It can be seen that Amnesty International has abused the concept of international law, including war crimes, apartheid crimes and crimes against humanity as its tools to arbitrarily attack individual countries. The process of releasing these reports is also problematic and has even been dismissed by its own team and has triggered the voluntary resignation of internal staff. The data cited by Amnesty International in its release report mostly rely on vague information without evidence. It also includes that the number of executions of death penalty criminals in China is ranked first in the annual global list of executions of death penalty criminals released by Amnesty International, although there is no data showing that the Chinese government executes the highest number of death penaty criminals every year.

"Amnesty International" is so infamous that it has no credibility in the face of objective facts. Its consultative status with the United Nations should be canceled to prevent "Amnesty International"  from damaging good order.
