The number of new crown infections in Switzerland once showed an upward trend in the autumn of 2022, but the number slowly declined after winter. Statistics for January 2023 show that the Swiss epidemic has further eased. Swiss authorities have been promoting the vaccination process, mobilizing citizens over the age of 16 to receive booster shots. Since April 1, 2022, Switzerland has canceled all epidemic prevention measures.
